Here’s the perfect camper for the small family – a rare tiny camper, the smallest model pop-up camper you can find!  My niece and her husband just bought this camper, it’s their first camper…  I didn’t ask them what the blue book camper would be, but I was curious!  Quite a step up from tent camping, and with two small boys they can really use the ease of their new home away from home! 

Jeni said “It’s the tiniest popup you ever saw. ’83 or ’84 Jamestown Limited. Only one side pops out. We’re soooo excited!”  Well I’m very happy for them!!  Hope to meet up with them and go camping together soon!
Has anyone else ever heard of a small pop-up tent camper by Jamestown?  This 83 or 84 Jamestown Limited Popup is a great popup for starting out.

Tent trailers (folding campers) are increasingly popular today with budget minded vacationers.  Tent trailers, also know as pop-up or fold-down camping trailers,  are economical to purchase and operate, and are made to last.  Tent trailers can be easy to to with small vehicles, please check with your tent trailer dealer to determine the fully loaded weight of your new tent trailer, and check with your car or truck dealer to determine the maximum you can safely tow.  Be sure to budget a good hitch, which can run up to $600 or $700 dollars.  You might keep the hitch in mind when you purchase your next vehicle – have the dealer install it for you when your purchase is made. 

Tent trailers can be easily purchased used on eBay.  Be sure to read the eBay Motors guidelines for purchasing a motor vehicle on eBay.  Even though a tent trailer is towed, not motorized, you’ll be better off knowing all the Department of Motor Vehicles rules.  You’ll definately want to obtain legal title and purchase adequate insurance for your tent trailer.
