Many people want to commune with nature but are not too keen on going all out – they want the experience but not the sacrifices to go with it. Maybe you want to keep some conveniences while having fun outdoors. You can have both with the modern trailer tent. RV’s can also allow you to experience the outdoors while still enjoying the amenities of home but are bigger, more expensive, and require more commitment. Also, for families with children too small for really roughing it, tent trailers are a good camper caravan option.

But before you go out and purchase one, there are two things that you need to keep in mind. You will be towing this thing. Depending on the campsite, you may have to tow it several hundred miles. Make sure that your car can handle the task. An SUV or pickup is your best bet. Compacts are just too small and lack the needed grunt. With the size and weight of a hard sided trailer tent, towing at highway speeds with a small car can be dangerous. Also, make sure that your tow vehicle is properly maintained. There is nothing worse than a breakdown in the middle of nowhere.

Next consideration is the trailer tent itself. Features and durability are two of the most important things to look out for. The best trailer tents can be put up and torn down with little effort and even less equipment. When on the market for one, after having the salesperson go with his or her demo, go ahead and try it out for yourself. There is nothing more frustrating than taking forever to put up an uncooperative tent after driving several hours – all you want is to relax when you reach your campsite.

Trailer tents are meant to last for years. Stick to reputable tent trailer brands when it comes to things that you will use outdoors, and find your best local trailer sales team. Coleman tent trailers are a good choice. Apache tent trailer parts are abundant, so they should be easy to maintain. Another good candidate is a Conway trailer tent. Trailer tents will give you the freedom to go out and not break the bank. The blend of convenience and versatility they give is hard to beat. Try one out today. A good trailer tent can last many years of outdoor family fun.

They have flexible frames will immediately spring into a tent once they have been opened. They are one of the greatest pieces of camping equipment that’s been invented. These tents are light, quick to fold, and small so they can be stored easily. Most conventional tent manufacturers also create popup designs made from the same high quality materials that they use for their other tents. CampRight is a world renowned tent brand that specializes in pop up tents. They provide hundreds of different sizes and shapes for one person, multiple people, and children.
To set up your popup tent, find an open area with a flat surface. The ground should be high to prevent flooding at night. Most campsites have ideal areas for popup campers, but if you are camping outdoors, then you will need to find a suitable spot yourself. Pick away any sticks, stones, or other sharp objects that may damage the underside of your tent and make it uncomfortable to sleep on.

Unpack your tent and remove the restraining bag, this will cause the tent to ‘pop’ open. Turn the tent to right side up with the faced in its proper position. If you have to pitch it on an uneven or incline surface, make sure that the floor faces downhill to prevent flooding. Pop up tent campers should not open their tent nearby trees or large objects to prevent them from getting in the way of the ‘popping’ mechanism.

Secure the fastenings into the ground by pushing them through the loops. If the ground is hard, you will need to use a hammer or another hard object to push the pegs in. Tent campers should always have an extra peg on hand in case one of them gets lots or broken. After, secure the ropes to finish the job.

A popup tent is a great way to introduce the family to camping, at a relatively low price. Once your get hooked on camping, you’ll probably find yourself wandering about campgrounds yearning for the next step up – the folding camper!
