Coleman Folding Camper Review

Coleman Folding Camper Review

I had the good fortune to visit with a family from Merced and Bass Lake, CA, while they were camping on the South Fork of the Tuolumne River with their Coleman folding camper, kids and pets.  The Dad, Forest, said they are really happy with their Coleman folding camper, and recommend this folding camper for others.  They purchased it new in apx 2000, and it still looks brand new!  Here’s a review of their model Coleman Folding Camper:

  • The Coleman folding camper is easy to tow, lightweight, easy to park and set up.
  • Easy set up – one person could easily set up the Coleman folding camper.
  • The crank is easy to use to set up the Coleman folding camper.
  • Solid roof – no seam to attract leak problems.
  • The optional roof rack holds quite a bit – bicycles, canoes, luggage, etc.
  • The roof is not affected by the sun – you don’t need to tarp the Coleman folding camper – UV safe.
  • The Coleman folding camper has AC, DC and propane options.
  • The Coleman folding trailer has a fresh water holding tank with a nice built in sink.
  • The Coleman pop up camper built in stove runs on propane.
  • Sleeps 8 on super comfortable 5 inch thick foam mattresses.
  • The Coleman folding camper has a heater, and is quite comfortable in cold weather.
  • The attached awning makes a really comfortable sun roof for the Coleman folding camper, and comes with a screen room to keep the bugs away if that’s a problem.  (Not set up here – no bugs!)
  • They’ve never had to repair or replace anything – it still has the original tires and they’re still in good shape.
  • Actually they did have to replace something…..  Someone accidentally left the folding dining room table out in the rain, and it didn’t make it.  The table isn’t made for rain…  oops!

Thanks Forest, Thomas, Jay, and Kimberly for taking the time to show off your Coleman folding camper!  It looks like you’ll still enjoy the camper for years to come!
