I have an 1984 Jamestown too - we've named him "Little Jimmy" - and he loves to go out camping! I got a replacement canvas thru Bear Creek Canvas - you can find them online - it fit perfectly, and I was able to put it in almost by myself - just needed another pair of hands to hold it up. It took me longer to do it, but once I figured it out, it wasnt too bad. I ended up loosening a screw at the end of a track, and sliding it right on. Some had to be wedged into the track, but not bad. A second pair of hands is helpful.! Good luck!

This is very good advice. An investment of thousands, or tens of thousands in some cases, go into the purchase of an RV and it makes sense to spend a few dollars to help protect that investment and make your RV camping experience safer.

Hi Kathy,
Are you looking to do this work yourself, so you'd need materials, or would you like to have someone do it for you?

We have the same camper, a Jamestown pop up in which only the front slides out. I am looking to see if anyone knows what is behind the front paneling before I tear it up to look. I want to install a window air conditioner there. Thanks! Rick

The basics are definitely needed when going camping in a conversion van. Conversion vans are great vehicles for camping, albeit a bit smaller than traditional campers, but nonetheless a great mode of transport for all, especially those who have handicapped loved ones in need of custom transportation.

People who love the outdoors also love portable beds and chairs for sure. They are the number one customers of these camping gears. If you are also planning of going camping, then start looking for a chair that you would bring with you in the mountains.

Wow Loren, thanks for getting back to us, and sorry for the hassle! Reminds me of when I tried to sell a diamond engagement ring on eBay for a friend! It was "sold" right away to a "gentleman" in Nigeria that asked me to ship the ring prior to his paying for it, and then "upon inspection" he would pay! eBay unraveled that mess, and I listed it again. An almost identical buyer id (the name of the "gentleman" from Nigeria with a few digits added to it) and an almost identical con - this time asking me to ship it to Spain, and then "upon inspection" would pay me! What a joke! I did have very good results selling a Harley Davidson motorcycle on eBay, and quite a few smaller items... So it's been an adventure, needless to say!

Thanks for leaving your video live, it's great!

I sold the trailer almost a year ago. The high-bidder on Ebay welched on the deal claiming his wife had taken all the money and walked out on him...

... the trailer was sold locally subsequently as Ebay had the transaction tied-up and was trying to extract ridiculous fees to offer the trailer to the next highest bidder. The whole situation was ridiculous. I was getting calls from dudes who were hoping I could ship the trailer 2000 miles to where they lived and that it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to do so.

Buy your trailer local or buy it new. Freight is a heavy expense to get a bargain on one of these.
