Reminds me of when I tried to sell a diamond engagement ring on eBay for a friend! It was "sold" right away to a "gentleman" in Nigeria that asked me to ship the ring prior to his paying for it, and then "upon inspection" he would pay! eBay unraveled that mess, and I listed it again. An almost identical buyer id (the name of the "gentleman" from Nigeria with a few digits added to it) and an almost identical con - this time asking me to ship it to Spain, and then "upon inspection" would pay me! What a joke! I did have very good results selling a Harley Davidson motorcycle on eBay, and quite a few smaller items... So it's been an adventure, needless to say! The high-bidder on Ebay welched on the deal claiming his wife had taken all the money and walked out on him... ... the trailer was sold locally subsequently as Ebay had the transaction tied-up and was trying to extract ridiculous fees to offer the trailer to the next highest bidder. The whole situation was ridiculous. I was getting calls from dudes who were hoping I could ship the trailer 2000 miles to where they lived and that it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to do so. Buy your trailer local or buy it new. Freight is a heavy expense to get a bargain on one of these. I sold the trailer almost a year ago.
